What do you see when you close your eyes?
What do you see when you close your eyes? is a picture book that opens a gentle window into the unseen inner worlds we each carry. Through a quiet exchange between three characters, it explores imagination as something deeply personal—how a dragon can be vivid and red, hazy and shifting, or unseen entirely, and still be real. Moving between richly illustrated moments and intentional pauses, the book invites readers to stop, close their eyes, and notice how they imagine. It tenderly reveals how often we assume we see the same thing, while each of us is truly seeing our own, and how beautiful the space between those inner worlds can be.
- A multi-age picture book for children and adults
- An interactive reading experience that invites pausing, closing one’s eyes, and reflection
- Visually inventive, using abstraction, playful color, and intentional blank space
I’m an Argentine–German artist, raised in Estonia, working across film, illustration, and text. My background is audiovisual, but my work is rooted in a long-standing fascination with inner worlds and how we make them visible. Through working with children and my studies in psychology and education, I became especially interested in imagination and perception, how differently we all see, think, and picture things. Translating inner worlds into picture books is my passion, precisely because it offers a space to play, pause, and let images speak.
