holy Moldy
I am a design student who is deeply inspired by microscopic processes and small, often overlooked forms of life.
In my work, I like to explore miniatures, bacteria, insects, and subtle transformations — making the unfamiliar, the slightly disgusting, or the uncertain feel approachable and even playful. My previous picture book project “Underneath” already focused on hidden organisms, and this curiosity continues in my current work.
I aim to create picture books that approach topics like decay, change, and transformation with humor, sensitivity, and without fear or shame.

- This picture book explores transformation and decay through the quiet life story of a forgotten sandwich inside a lunchbox.
- Rather than teaching biology, the book focuses on the changes time brings — aging, shrinking, spreading, and transforming.
- The story unfolds almost entirely from the inside, turning the sandwich into a portrait of continuous change.
With humor and imagination, the book makes an uncertain and slightly disgusting process approachable and engaging for children.
