DAZWISCHEN

The book “Dazwischen” dives into all the different meanings of the word and the idea behind it. It’s not just about a place or a moment in time—it’s about everything that exists in between two boundaries. At first, the concept is shown through different situations, and then it shifts to celebrating the diversity of people. Dazwischen is really about all the little shades and facets that sit between the extremes we set. By the end, there’s a short story about two characters who form a friendship.
- A book that plays around with the abstract idea of “Dazwischen” in a fun, playful way.

- Without trying to lecture anyone, it shows that our world is full of shades and can never just be split into black and white.
- It leaves room for you to explore the in-between yourself.

Hi, I’m Isabelle Marten. Besides music and writing, one of my biggest passions is illustrating. Just like with music, I love experimenting with different styles and always learning new things to fine-tune my own style. Right now, I mostly work analog, using watercolors and colored pencils. I’m especially drawn to flowing shapes and soft, pastel tones, but I’m constantly pushing myself to keep developing my style.
