In my book Theater, Theater, we embark on a magical journey through a colorful world of stage and imagination. Inside the theater, all kinds of wonderful characters are busy preparing for their newest production. When Theo visits, he gets to peek behind the curtain and discover what it really takes to bring a play to life.Theo’s adventure is bright, exciting, and just a little bit magical. Escaping a small Catholic village on the edge of Bavaria over nine years ago, I moved to the city where, according to Erich Kästner, doom lurks in every direction. From an early age, I was obsessed with pop culture, the '70s and '80s, the Sex Pistols, Rio Reiser, John Waters, Drag Queens, queer history, film, fashion, theater, and art. Now, you’ll find me in one of Berlin’s many pubs, at the cinema, concerts, or at home in Friedrichshain creating colorful Illustrations and writing verses for my upcoming children books.
