In the same place
Growth is something that accompanies us from the very beginning and can be both exciting and frightening. What does it take to grow? Which phases do we go through along the way? And what different kinds of growth processes exist on our planet? The book “In the Same Place” explores these questions by having the character Bill guide readers through the biological growth processes of a wide variety of living beings, showing what we can learn about our own growth.
- A combination of a non fictional and an abstract/poetic layer
- A book for children and adults that offers a new perspective on growth
- The illustrations lead readers through natural growth processes while also showing the character Bill, who gradually learns more about himself and his own growth
Hi, I’m Isabelle Marten. Besides music and writing, one of my biggest passions is illustrating. Just like with music, I love experimenting with different styles and always learning new things to fine-tune my own style. Right now, I mostly work analog, using watercolors and colored pencils or acrylic paint. I’m especially drawn to flowing shapes and soft, pastel tones, but I’m constantly pushing myself to keep developing my style.
