ALONE
"Alone" tells the story of a truly everyday situation: Max is traveling from his mother’s house to his father’s apartment. But for Max, this is a new experience—it is the first time he is making the cross-city journey to his father’s place unaccompanied. He takes the Metro and has to navigate a variety of situations along the way. His interactions with the people around him present a challenge, yet despite his initial wariness, he finds his way.
The state of being "alone"—initially defined by a lack of company and a sense of isolation—transforms into an "alone" that signifies independence.

The author contributed a specific photographic technique to the project: starting with reportage-style photography, the protagonist is photographed frame by frame, then the images are subsequently processed graphically.

Florian Bolk is a Berlin based photographer and a student in the Communication Design bachelor’s of arts at FHP University, . HIs love to observe and relate to his everyday environment made this project come alive.
