BUD
In a vibrant garden rests a quiet bud. She loves the shade, always hiding beneath a large leaf as she journeys. Not yet in bloom, she is haunted by self-doubt. Her favorite refuge is under the willow, which stands closer to her than all the others. This is a calm, contemplative story that celebrates the beauty of silence and the power of being different. The little bud embarks on a journey of self-discovery, self-love, and friendship.
- Unique characters
- Conveying self-love and patience
- The importance of friendship with oneself and the power of being unique
My passion for illustration, creating worlds, and telling quiet stories that capture the perspective of the outsider has led me to this project. In particular, my own experiences as a shy child inspired me to create a story that reminds me to be patient with myself – just as the willow is with the little bud.
