No Sugar
This book is a delightful non-fiction picture book that helps children naturally explore the world of sugar in a playful way. Many people enjoy sugar but also warn that eating too much can be harmful. But why? Sugar is invisible—so where exactly is it hiding in our foods? Children become “sugar detectives,” discovering how much sugar is in the foods they eat every day. As they read, they ask questions, think, and find answers. As the story unfolds, they learn that sweetness exists not only in sugar but also in foods in their natural form. By the end, children develop curiosity about the natural sweetness around them and begin to discover its variety. Visually, the book features a square format with a modern, lively design. Repeating visual motifs—such as square sugar cubes, speech bubbles, grids, and text boxes—create a rhythmic and engaging layout. Throughout the story, sugar and body organs appear as playful characters. Dynamic poses and expressive faces combine scientific facts with emotional storytelling.
