Pocket Tales
Every day, children collect the most interesting and absurd things in their jacket and trouser pockets. Some end up there on purpose, others are simply placed there absent-mindedly. From live snails and earthworms, stones, and marbles to unidentifiable pieces of plastic, money, candy wrappers, pens, and toy cars, everything is there. And what may simply look like rubbish to adults tells a whole story in the eyes of children.
- A humorous overview of the odds and ends found in children's pockets
- Discover something new on every page
- unexpected stories about simple objects
Hi, i'm Emily and i'm in my sixth Semester of communication Design at FH Potsdam. Since I was able to hold a pencil in my hand I've been wanting to be creative. The wish of combining this passion with my huge love for books formed a few years ago and now resulted in my second childrens book. I love to play around with lots of different analogue technics and for this book, I choosed to work with watercolors. To explore all the fun stuff kids carry in their pockets was really interesting. With my book, I want to draw attention to the small things, that often end up unseen.
