Esmeralda and the Elephants
Esmeralda lives in a world where emotions are not just felt but seen as physical companions. What starts as a curious meeting soon reveals a hidden social architecture: everyone is accompanied by a "herd" of past experiences and feelings. The story follows Esmeralda as she learns to navigate this world, discovering that these elephants are not problems to be solved, but partners to be understood. From the chaotic "Anger-Elephants" at the market to the wise companions of an elderly lady, the book explores the complexity of human interaction and the importance of emotional literacy.
- introducing a playful metaphor to support children and adults grasp and communicate of emotions better
- offering a systemic framework for social interactions
- working with a calm design approach that uses white space to set focus
Hi, my name is Muriel! I am passionate about all the little and big things in life. If I hadn’t started studying product design, I would’ve loved to become a wooden boat builder or a florist. In a past life, I was a tailor. Now I am focused on envisioning new products and fell in love with creating books along the way. Esmeralda and the Elephants is a project close to my heart that I hope you’ll enjoy!
