Is It Alright If I Pet You?
When i pet my cat its always so soft and fluffy. But how do other animals feel when you pet them or more importantly how do they feel about being touched. A little collection of observations of a child going through the world and encountering different animals and their unique textures and attitudes. From cats and dogs to earwigs ,toads and even a fish.
- Children learn how to or when not to pet animals
- They learn about touching animals like toads or bugs that are often frowned upon
- Parents can start a discussion about consent or knowing when someone does not want to be touched
I found my love for illustration in my early ages by looking at beautifully illustrated picture books with my mom. I have been inspired to draw since then and would love to spark this creativity in young children as well. Since animals and pets have always been a big part of my life i wanted to connect these topics in form of this picture book.
